The family Ongena is cultivating onions since 1960, for 3 generations now and still with a lot of passion and dedication for their job.

In 2009 we made a new step: peeling, processing and packing of onions. Ready for the fresh market: minced, diced and chopped onions.

Thanks to our customers,  we could adjust and extend our range. Which enables us to offer different cuts, packaging and types of onions today.

Ongena, specialized in providing onion peeling and processing services,  is a young and dynamic family company. And has been founded in 2009 by Joeri Ongena and his wife Veroniek Maes.

QUALITY CONTROL

Our quality control starts at the seed:  only the best varieties remain after a conscientious selection. 

We follow the growth on the field accurately,  as well as harvesting, curing and storing of the onions. 

This is the only way to know that the best onions are peeled, so that we can guarantee an excellent quality of the end product.  

 

COMEOS FOOD CERTIFICAAT

IN JULI 2014 we achieved the HIGHLY PRIZED quality certificate "COMEOS FOOD on a higher level".
